SENIOR HIGH YOUTH

BE SURE TO RESERVE OCTOBER 10, 2007 at 6:00 to prepare for our presentation of our summer mission trip.  We will view the Power Point presentation and decide who is presenting what portion of the program. 

This summer our Senior High Youth had an outstanding mission trip to from Puerto Rico!The group traveling to Arecibo, PR included: Amy Bratschie, Matt Schousen, Melinda Bertotti, Graham Otten, Jennifer Slupe, Stephanie Slupe, Chloe Bergsma-Safar, Gabe Mulder, Devon Olsen, Ross Otten, Alyson Cole, Christian Thorpe, Kaylie Morrissey and Jillian Otten.

Their adult leaders were: Michelle Fraungruber, Kim Slupe, Larry Biser and Rev. Dan Plasman.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH

Junior High Youth have gotten off to an awesome start this fall! I am so excited to be a part of this program, along with Chad Bulthuis and Nika Rice as energized leaders to help our kids make the most of our time together.

These young people are eager to take their places in the East Church family by participating in service projects, fundraisers, a mini spring mission weekend, and many other activities that are geared toward community building and living the life that Jesus taught.

Meals:

November 4 - Slupe (ECC Squares run through)

November 17-18 Jr. High Lock-In 

Dates still needing to be filled are November 11 and 18, as well as December 2 and 9. Meal time is 6:00 P.M.- please bring meal to the basement kitchen.

Upcoming Events:

  • April - service project - Gardens of East
  • May - Dinner theatre fundraiser
  • May - Mission Trip Weekend

A Spooky Halloween Party is also being planned for October 28.

This is just the beginning of our exciting year of Junior High Youth Group! The kids, Chad, Nika and I are full of energy and spirit and ready to continue our growth together within the East church family.
